Aasha (2015 film)

Aasha also known as Aasha - Ik Umeed is a Pakistani Urdu television film that debuted on PTV Home on the occasion of Easter on 5 April 2015. It is directed by Kashif Nisar and features Qavi Khan, Maira Khan, Imran Arooj, and Fareeha Jabeen in main roles.[1][2] The telefilm talks about the interfaith tolerance and societal tolerance.[3][4]

Plot

Mary tells her mother that she will not go to school further as fellow students bully her by saying him sweeper (as her mother works as a maid in others house). Maira is a Hindu girl who lives with her only brother and is looking for a job. Hamza fights with his father and comes to live with his uncle, Rehmat. Mary's mother works in Rehmat's house and tells him about the situation. He along with his nephew Hamza decides to teach Mary and other children of the mohalla who could not go to get education due to this problem. On commencing the study in school, Aasha also start to teache there as she wants to remain busy.
