Both the single and video received a lot of airplay on radio. It reached the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 12. The single became Abdul's first single to enter the Hot 100’s top 20 since 1992. The single also peaked at No. 10 in Australia.[2]

The song features background vocals from the group Color Me Badd. Abdul performed the song on The Tonight Show hosted by Jay Leno.
