Ajagajantharam

Ajagajantharam is an upcoming Malayalam-language action film directed by Tinu Pappachan and written by Kichu Tellus and Vineeth Vishwam. Antony Varghese, Chemban Vinod Jose, Arjun Asokan and Sabumon Abdul Samad are in the lead roles. The film is produced by Emmanuel Joseph and Ajith Thalapilliy and the music composed by Justin Varghese. The film was scheduled to release on 26 February 2021,[1] but postponed due the second wave of COVID-19 shutdowns.[2][3] The film is now confirmed to hit screens on 23 December 2021.[4][5]

Synopsis

Aranjali is all set to celebrate the annual temple festival. Some unforeseen chain of events involving an elephant, a few young men, a notorious criminal, a drama troop and some trouble-loving villagers brings complete mayhem to the place.[6]

Production

Both Antony and Tinu had earlier collaborated in the latter's debut directorial Swathanthriyam Ardharathriyil, which was a thriller. The film is produced by Emmanuel Joseph and Ajith Thalapilliy and the music composed by Justin Varghese. The title for the film is given by Lijo Jose Pellissery.[9] Ajagajantharam has been written by Kichu Tellus and Vineeth Vishwam.[10] Jinto George is the cinematographer while Shameer Muhammad is the editor.[11][12] Arjun Kallingal is the still photographer.[13]

Release

Initially the film was originally scheduled to released in theatres on 26 February 2021, but was postponed due to COVID-19 pandemic in India.[14] The next time, The film fixed its release date as May 28 2021, but again got postponed. [15] The next time, The film scheduled to be released by the eve of Dusshera (12 October 2021), but again got postponed.[16] The next time, The film confirmed to release on 3 December 2021.[17] The film again got pushed to Christmas 2021, due to avoid clash with Marakkar Arabikadalinte Simham that was released on 2 December 2021.[18] And finally the film confirmed to hit screens on 23 December 2021.[19]
