Albanese
Albanese is an Italian surname. Sometimes it means "Albanian", in reference to the Arbëreshë people (Italo-Albanians) of southern Italy.[1] However, in many cases it can also derive from Italian localities that have the toponym "Albano" or albanus, from the Latin albus ("white"), plus the Latin suffix -ensis, which indicates a "native or inhabitant of Albano". e.g. Albano di Lucania, Albano Sant'Alessandro, Albano Vercellese, Albano Laziale.[2] The surname is common in southern Italy but more rare elsewhere in the country.[1] Notable people with the surname include:
