Aliyu Sabiu Muduru

Walin Gabas of Katsina I had his primary and secondary Education in Katsina State.

He thereafter proceeded to Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic where he obtained a Diploma in Shariah and Civil Law.

He thereafter proceeded to [[Al-Madinah International University]] in Malaysia where he had his Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology and graduated with an Upper Second Class.

Being a lover of Education and International Affairs, he furthered his education at the prestigious [[Ahmadu Bello University Zaria]] where he obtained a Master’s Degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy (MIAD]]

While at the Polytechnic and the University, he developed an interest in politics and was actively involved in the school politics.

Upon his return back to Nigeria from Malaysia in 2014, he started his political journey with the All Progressives Congress where he contested and won the seat of Member to represent the good people of Mani local government in the Katsina House of Assembly.

Despite being a first time Member in the Katsina State House of Assembly, his colleagues unanimously elected him as the 6th Speaker of the Assembly, which made him the Youngest Speaker in the whole commonwealth region.

Considering his background in both Education,Religion and politics, he is loved by the Executive Governor of Katsina State [[Aminu Bello Masari]] and other prominent personalities like the business tycoon [[Dahiru Mangal]] and Amb. Ibrahim Zakari (Talban Katsina).

On 15 February 2017, 23 out of the 34 Members of the Katsina State House of Assembly passed a vote of no confidence on the Speaker and thereafter impeached.

Many assumed his political journey has come to an end when he was impeached , but in the 2019 elections, the people of his constituency reelected him with a landslide victory.

Aliyu Sabiu Muduru then moved a motion that brought about the emergence of Rt. Hon. Tasiu Musa Maigari as the Katsina State House of Assembly Speaker.

After the inauguration of the 7th Assembly, Aliyu Muduru was made the Chairman, House Committee on Appropriations, Budget and Economic Planning.

His emergence as the Chairman of Appropriations has brought about a tremendous scrutiny in budget, accountability and transparency and International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSASS) compliance.

Aliyu Sabiu Muduru is married to Ruqayyah Bala Getso, with whom they have a son (Muhammad).

Muduru speaks three languages (English,Arabic and Hausa). He memorized the Quran at a young age.

Aliyu Muduru loves playing and watching football. He supports Manchester United.
