Amritsar Singh Sabha

The Amritsar Singh Sabha was founded in 1873, "It was essentially conservative and Sanatan ('eternal', almost synonymous with Hinduism). The Sanatan Sikh (a term and formulation coined by Harjot Oberoi[1] for the Udasis and Nirmalas) were for the first time challenged and eventually marginalised.".[2]
