Anchal Sahu

Anchal Sahu is an Indian television actress and model. She plays the role of Bondita Das in Colors TV’s show Barrister Babu and Vashma Baig in Sony TV’s show Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye.[1] Sahu was also featured in several television commercials.

Biography

Anchal Sahu was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She is the younger daughter of Dwarikanath Sahu and Kavita Sahu and has an elder sister, Anjali Sahu who is a doctor. Sahu started her journey as a child model and featured in several television advertisements and print shoots. She has done advertisements for brands like Bikaji Rasgulla (alongside Viraj Kapoor)[2] and several times for Ferrero Rocher (alongside Tanish Bhakri [3] and alongside Abhishek Vig, Anchal Sahu, Tanish Bhakri, Ekta Thakur [4]) amongst many. She even feautured in an advertisement alongside Sachin Tendulkar. She also made cameo appearances in several television shows. Sahu rose to fame with Sony television’s show, Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye, where she played one of the lead character opposite Shagun Pandey. She then went on to play the lead role in Colors TV’s show Barrister Babu as Bondita.

Career

Anchal Sahu started working as a child model at the age of five for photography shoots and television advertisements.[5]

She started her acting career with Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai on StarPlus in 2011. Anchal then went on to feature in TV serials such as Savdhaan India, Begusarai (2015), Lajwanti (2015), Meri Durga and Shakti Peeth Ke Bhairav.

In 2019, she played the role of Brij’s daughter in Bollywood film Mardaani 2.[6] In 2021, she was seen as Vashma in Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye[7] and then played Bondita in Barrister Babu.[8][9]

Anchal was featured in various TV commercials including Ferrero Rocher and Bikaji Gol Matol Rasgulla. In 2011, she shared the screen with the famous Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar[10] in which she, along with other child actors, cheered the Indian cricket team for the 2011 ICC World Cup.
