Krichevsky responded to attacks in the press. After the publication against Krichevsky of the article "The story of the undermining of copyright", written by Artem Kiryanov, a member of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation, “Komsomolskaya Pravda” published Krichevsky's response.[15] Kiryanov's original article was removed by the newspaper's editors from the “Komsomolskaya Pravda” website.
Conflict over the merger of RAO, RUR and VOIS
On July 17, 2015, a conference of the three largest organizations engaged in collective management – RAO, RUR and VOIS – was held, at which it was announced that the RUR, VOIS and RAO would merge into a single structure - the trade union of art workers "Russian Authors' Society" (RAO). The conference was organized by S.S.Fedotov and was not recognized by the leadership of VOIS and the RUR, which declared its illegitimacy. As of the fall of 2015, the merger actually did not take place, however, the yellow press accused Krichevsky of an attempt to raider RAO.[16]
Attack
On the evening of August 14, 2015, a group of unknown persons attacked Krichevsky near the VOIS building. According to the newspaper “Izvestia”, the attackers demanded that Krichevsky leave his post at RAO. The attack resulted in a closed head injury and nose fracture.[17]
