Arthur Avnon

Arthur Avraham Avnon (born 1946) is an Israeli diplomat.

Life

Avon was born in Romania. He attended the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, studying International Relations and English literature. He joined the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1972.[1]

Avon served as Ambassador to the Czech Republic, 2001–05 and as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark, 2008–13.[2][3] He was also Consul in Houston, Texas from 1975 until 1980.[1]
