Artocarpus elasticus

Artocarpus elasticus (Family Moraceae) commonly called terap nasi or terap,[1] is a rainforest tree of Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines and Burma, growing to 45 meters (150 feet) in height and a DBH dbh of three feet (0.9 meters) The juvenile trees are noteworthy for producing a rosette of enormous deeply lobed leaves similar in shape to those of the white oak (Quercus alba), but up to six feet (1.85 meters) long [2] by about four feet (1.2 meters) in width. These emerge from leaf buds as much as seven inches (17 centimeters) long. [3] The trees are dioecious (male and female flowers on separate trees). [4] It produces a fruit like a small breadfruit.
