Baby Money
Baby Money is a 2021 American mystery thriller crime drama film written and directed by Mikhael Bassilli and stars Danay García, Michael Drayer and Taja V. Simpson. It premiered at the Fantasia International Film Festival on August 10, 2021.[1][2]

Plot
Minny is struggling with her life. She have little money left, no job, an eviction notice, and a baby on the way. Gil, Minny's friend, agrees to participate in a suburban robbery to be the "lookout" and "getaway driver" for her in a suburban robbery to steal a purple box. When the heist fails, pregnant Minny runs leaving Gil behind in hiding... now, they need to construct an escape plan in time for a major cash out.

On review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an approval rating of 86% based on 7 critics, with an average rating of 6.6/10.[3]
Nick Allen of RogerEbert.com wrote "Baby Money is mostly concerned with its most boring entity, its male characters, who are so predictably violent, jealous, and doomed".[4]
