Bahlil Lahadalia is an Indonesian businessman and politician, serving as Minister of Investment since 28 April 2021 and concurrently serving as head of the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM).[1]

He is a former chairman of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association.[2]

He owns PT Rifa Capital Holding Company and 10 other companies, active mostly in the transportation and property sectors. He was born and attended schools in Maluku, before moving to Fak-Fak, where his father is from,[3] until deciding to study economics in Jayapura. He was active in the Muslim Students' Association in Papua.

In October 2019, he was appointed head of BKPM.[4] He was sworn in as Indonesia's first minister of investment on 28 April 2021, following the creation of the Investment Ministry.[5][6]
