Bakkagerði

Bakkagerði (Icelandic pronunciation: [ˈpahkaˌcɛrðɪ]) is a coastal hamlet in eastern Iceland.

It is part of the municipality of Borgarfjarðarhreppur and situated on the coast of the Borgarfjörður Eystri. The church dating from 1901 and Lindabakki, a renovated turf house built in 1899, are worth a visit.[1] Bakkagerði is famous for its village shop Búðin Borgarfirði as well
