Beeni

Beeni is a sport described as a combination of arm wrestling and martial arts. It originated in Kashmir and Northern Pakistan, and has gained popularity also among the Eastern Punjabi communities in parts of the UK.

The sport's governing body is the World Beeni Association, whose president is Raja Mohammad Afzal Khan (Europe and Africa sections), and chairman is Shafiq Khan (Asia section).

In Asia, seven main federal bodies exist – China, Japan, Tajikistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and Pakistan/Kashmir.

In Europe, there are four main national federations, namely UK Beeni Federation (or UKBF), Spanish Beeni commission, Turkish Beeni council and Holland Beeni Federation (or HBF).

In Africa it's the big 5 – South Africa, Keyna, Tanzania, Namibia, and Mali which are dominant federations.
