Ben Smart (born 1980) is a British photographer based in London. He is known for his 360 imagery and digital content.

Work

Smart is a 360 panoramic photographer,[1] who has been produced 360 images since the early 2000s. He is a long-term member of the International Virtual Reality Professionals Association.[2] He has worked with Google since 2018 to digitise a number of cultural institutions.[3]

Online Exhibitions

Smart was commissioned by Google Arts and Culture to produce 360 photos of Harry Potter: A History of Magic exhibition at the British Library.[4] In 2020 - on the eve of the UK's second national lockdown - Smart produced an extensive 360 tour of the The Natural History Museum's Fantastic Beasts: The Wonder of Nature exhibition.[5][6] In 2019 Smart worked on a year long project to digitalise the Gardens of Highgrove for Google Arts and Culture.[7] In 2021 he produced 360 content of COP 26 in Glasgow.[8]
