Bhuvaneswari (actress)

Bhuvaneswari is an Indian model, film and television actress.[1] (Born on June 4, 1975,Chittor,Andhra Pradesh) .She is known for her work in South Indian cinema and in television.[2] She has received critical acclaim for her antagonist roles in several soap operas.[3] She rose to stardom with the 2003 Tamil film, Boys in which she played Rani, the prostitute.[4][5] Kurkure is her first film in a lead role.[6]

Tamil actress Bhuvaneswari was arrested by the Chennai Police in the year 2009 for being allegedly involved in prostitution. It was reported that she was running a brothel in the city, and the police caught her red-handed. Accoring to sources, she was allegedly running this racket from her appartment at Adayar in Chennai. Sources also said that she was reported to the police by her neighbours after they suspected her of indulging in prostitution. The police said that Bhuvaneswari ran a high-profile brothel for many years. According to reports from one source, she charged rates ranging from rupees 10,000 to two lakhs per hour for their services while another source said she charged two lakhs to seven lakhs.
