Black Tickle
Black Tickle (Inuttitut: Kikkertet[1]) is a "remote Aboriginal settlement" in Newfoundland and Labrador on the Island of Ponds. As of June 2016, the population was "about 147."[2] As of late 2019, the population was "exactly 84". Locations in Labrador south of Black Tickle generally observe Newfoundland Time instead of Atlantic Standard Time, which is observed by the rest of the province's continental communities. Black Tickle is served by Black Tickle Airport, a gravel strip airport (CCE4).
