Catch! Teenieping (Korean: 캐치! 티니핑; RR: Kaechi! Tiniping) is a Korean computer-animated television series produced by SAMG Animation. The first season of the series aired on KBS2 on March 19, 2020.[3][4][5] The second season will be aired on September 22, 2021 under the title Sparkling Catch! Teenieping (Korean: 반짝반짝 캐치! 티니핑) on JEI TV.[6][1][7]

Plot

Catch! Teenieping revolves around mischievous creatures called Teenieping that like to enter people's minds, but their playful nature and magical powers can wreak havoc in their hosts' lives. When the Teenieping are set loose on Earth, Princess Romi of the Emotion Kingdom becomes an ordinary girl that has to turn into a magical girl to stop them, all while balancing her new civilian life as a worker for the Bakery Heartrose with her coworkers Ian, Kyle, and Jun.

  • Princess Romi (Korean: 로미) is the princess of the Emotion Kingdom that becomes an ordinary magical girl tasked with stopping the Teenieping from wreaking havoc.

  • Kyle (Korean: 카일) is the son of a famous and wealthy conglomerate who wishes to become a pastry chef.

Broadcast

Catch! Teenieping premiered on KBS2 in South Korea on March 19, 2020. The series is also released on VODs and video platforms.[3] The first season aired on KBS2 every Thursday at 5:15 pm until April 1, 2021.[8] The season 2 of the series was broadcast from September 22, 2021, on JEI TV every Wednesday first at 8:30 am.[9] The same episode would be rebroadcast at 6:30 pm.[10] To celebrate the second season, JEI TV held a poll in October 2021 to encourage viewers to pick their favorite characters.[11]

On July 12, 2021, it was first broadcast in China under the title 奇妙萌可 on Chinese Streaming platforms.[12][13] The Season 1 of the series was premiered on Netflix on October 30, 2021.[14]
