Catherine Corcoran

Catherine Corcoran (born May 30, 1992) is an American actress. Corcoran's mostly known for her roles in horror-thriller and comedy films such as Terrifier and the Return to Nuke 'Em High films.[1][2][3]

Life and career

Corcoran was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[4] She started taking classes in an acting conservatory at a young age and when she turned 17, she moved to New York.[5][6]

Her first on-screen appearance was in 2009, when she appeared in a short film. In 2010, She had a small role in the CW series, Gossip Girl but her first major break did not occur until 2013, when she starred in Llyod Kaufman's horror comedy Return to Nuke 'Em High Volume 1.[7][8][9][10] She reprised her role in the 2017 sequel Return to Nuke 'Em High AKA Volume 2.[11][12] She portrayed the role of Sandy in the 2016 biographical sports drama film Chuck and also starred in the slasher film Terrifier in the same year.[13][14]

Corcoran starred in Erik Bloomquist's 2018 erotic thriller Long Lost.[15][16][17] The same year she starred in the Hallmark Christmas TV Movie Last Vermont Christmas.[18][19] In 2019, she starred in the horror film 100 Acres of Hell and was also cast in the horror thriller 3 Days Rising, a film adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's short story "The Fall of the House of Usher".[20][21][22]

At the 2013 Cannes Film Festival she participated in a symbolic marriage ceremony where she married her co-star in support of LGBTQ rights during the premiere of the Return to Nuke Em High. It is regarded as the first lesbian wedding celebrated in France.[23][24]
