CaughtOffside

CaughtOffside is a British football news website that specialises in transfer stories. It was voted the Metro UK Sports Blog of the Year in 2007 and runner-up in the Best Premier League Blog Awards in 2010.[1]

CaughtOffside is regularly cited by the BBC for breaking key news within the football transfer world[2][3][4] and counts former professional referees, Mark Halsey and Keith Hackett, as columnists for the site, providing insight into controversial adjudications, which have been increased considerable since the introduction of VAR.[5]

CaughtOffside was founded in 2006 by Chris Toy and was subsequently acquired in 2007 by Sport Buzz Limited, which went on to raise US$3.2m in the same year from Ingenious Media Active Capital Limited.[6] The site was later acquired by TixDaq in 2009.[7] As of November 2021, it was owned by Rocket Sports Internet.
