Caverna (board game)
Caverna: The Cave Farmers is a 2013 board game designed by Uwe Rosenberg. It is a worker placement strategy game that reimplements his earlier board game, Agricola.[1] Its theme revolves around leading a small dwarf family, which is settling a cave and nearby woodlands.[2][3][4][5][6]
The game received two large expansions (Caverna: The Forgotten Folk in 2018 and the upcoming Caverna: Frantic Fiends), as well as a stand-alone two-player variant, Caverna: Cave vs Cave.[7][8]
Caverna has been well received by most reviewers, and a 2017 review noted that it "holds a distinguished spot amongst Boardgamegeek.com’s top ten games of all time".[8] (Caverna held that rank from 2014 to 2017; slipping to #30 in mid-2021.)[9]
