Cemre
Cemre may refer to:
- In Turkish folklore, at the end of the winter, three embers fall from the heavens (sent by a genie) and warm up (in turn) the air, the water and the earth. The first cemre falls on the air (i.e. first the air warms up) on the 20th of February; the second cemre falls on the water (i.e. the water warms up next, and snow and ice melt) a week later; and finally, another week later, the third and last cemre falls on the earth (the frozen soil melts).
