Châteauroux Sabres
The Sabres de Châteauroux are an american football club based in Châteauroux, Indre, France. They were founded in 2015 by Floyd Segura, a former Ours de Toulouse player who resettled in Châteauroux. They replace the Châteauroux Orcs, the city's previous club, active between 1987 and 2011 and winner of the 2000 French Junior Championship.[1]

The organization's name is a throwback to the Sabres, an American military team based at the old Châteauroux-Déols Air Base, which played in USAFE-sanctioned leagues during the 1950s and 1960s.[1]
