Chonsa
Chŏnsa (Korean: 전사, lit. 'Warrior') is the first level military rank of North Korea. It is equivalent to private, airman, and seaman in the United States Armed Forces.[1]

The insignia for chŏnsa consists of a bare shoulder strap or collar tab. The rank is typically held by conscripts and new recruits with six months to a year required in grade before promotion.
