Chris Burke (musician)

Chris Burke is an electronic dance music producer and DJ from Aberdeen, Scotland.[1] He has collaborated with top acts such as Klaas, Christina Novelli and Grammy nominated vocalist, Jeffrey Jey.[2][3]

He has produced pop, rock and country music under the moniker Cold California.[4]

Burke's approach to music production is influenced by the work of Tiësto, David Guetta and Calvin Harris.[5][6]

In February 2021, Burke collaborated with vocalist Christina Novelli on the track "Don't Wanna Go Home".[7] It was released on Novelli's label Muse Music Records, a sublabel of Black Hole Recordings.[8] In August 2021, Chris Burke's remix of "Whisper"[9] by MaRLo and Haliene was released on Reaching Altitude (MaRLo's imprint on Armada Music) and was featured on Mark Sixma's "Elements II" compilation album. On October 7th 2021, the collaborative track "Bad Girl"[10] with Klaas and Audiosonik was released on Purple Fly Records.[11]

Since early 2021, he has hosted "In the Mix".[12] The weekly mix show has seen success throughout the world and most notably topped the podcast charts in Hungary in August 2021.[13]
