Chu Duc
Chu Kim Duc is a Vietnamese architect, children's right to play activist and a co-founder and Director of Think Playgrounds for children.[1] She was named among the BBC's 100 most influential women in the world in 2020.[2][3]
Education and work
Duc studied Urban Planning in Hanoi and the History of Gardens, Heritage and Landscape in Versailles. After this she established a landscape design and construction company executing projects relating to public spaces and playgrounds across Vietnam before acquiring a scholarship to study film making in France.[4][5] Upon completion of her studies in France, she returned to Vietnam and co-founded Think Playgrounds which focused on building children's playground in cities from recycled wastes such as tyres, robes, logs, metal, plastic and wooden furniture and debris.[6][7]
