Cibele Racy
Cibele Racy is a Brazilian educator and school administrator who pioneered the teaching of racial equality in São Paulo elementary schools. She is recognized for reviewing school management tasks for racial and gender equality. Racy was named by the BBC 100 Women as one of the most influential and inspiring 100 women in the world in 2020.[1][2]
Career
Racy began her career in education as a teacher and rose to the position of principal at the Nelson Mandela Municipal School of Early Childhood Education (Emei). In 2011, she reviewed school management task for gender and racial inclusiveness.[3][4] After her retirement from public service she began giving free lectures in public and private schools on the implementation of Anti-Racist Education law and the inclusion of African and Afro-Brazilian History and Culture in school curriculum.[5][6][7]
