Claire Mahon
Claire Mahon (born 1976) is an Australian-New Zealand lawyer and human rights activist.

Life
Mahon was born and raised in Brisbane.[1] She graduated from the Australian National University, and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies.[2]
From 2007 to 2008, Mahon was legal advisor to UN Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food, Jean Ziegler.[3] From 2009 to 2010, she was special advisor to Mary Robinson, chair of GAVI. She is adjunct professor of law at the University of Michigan Law School and a visiting lecturer.
In the 2020 New Zealand general election, she stood as the Labour Party candidate for the Rotorua electorate, finishing second behind National's Todd McClay.[4][5][6]
