Gameplay

Cookie Run Kingdom is a fight in a massive RPG battle simulator.[1] In this game, the player assumes the role of cookies. Each cookie has a unique character. The skill of the cookie will improve while playing the game and allow the player to advance on a higher level. The gameplay in this game is divided into two main types namely the Kingdom Development and Adventure. If a player cannot go through the stage, it can use treasures in in-game items that improve the team's powers. Players can find materials to enhance the character's abilities by raiding the levels or harvesting them from the Cookie Mansion.

At the beginning of the game, players receive a piece of land to build structures and amenities and aid the player in collecting resources.[2] To unlock more items, create more resources, and progress quickly, the player must level up the cookie castle, production buildings, and the fountain of abundance.[3] Furthermore, players build additional structures to use in obtaining resources to trade and upgrade other buildings. The cookie mansion is a resource-giving building that provides an EXP Star Jelly Level1 for leveling up cookies. The buildings in the game are the strength of the kingdom. Players can make the resources necessary to accomplish the tree of wishes requests, load up the jelly bear train, complete quests, etc. These resources will be kept in storage. If the storage building of the kingdom is already full, the storage will not have enough space for the new resources from the buildings. The player either sells or uses the items to expand the storage space. To upgrade Cookie Castle in the Cookie Run Kingdom, the player must complete specific missions and need to gather items or materials. Players will be able to upgrade the Fountain of Abundance when they have upgraded the Cookie Castle. If there are no more spaces for the buildings in cookie run, the player must upgrade the kingdom. There are two ways to accomplish success in expanding the area of the kingdom: using items to unlock areas or forming a cookie attack team to seize an area.

Players can use eight types of Cookies: Power, Ambush, Defense, Magic, Ranged, Bomber, Support, and Healing. There are also two types of treasures the Passive and Active. The last part is to form a team. In this last part, the player can use no more than five cookies and no more than three treasures for each adventure. One team can duplicate the types of cookies they have. Each adventure is divided into seven main categories: World Exploration, Kingdom Arena, Today's Bounties, Tower of Sweet Chaos, Tropical Soda Islands, Guild Battle, and General Events. Cookies are paired in an appropriate arrangement to pass a level in each mode.

Modes

World Exploration - This adventure will comprise exploring world maps and unlocking the story. Players must form a raid team to collect rewards to upgrade cookies. If the checkpoint is more difficult, the reward will be even greater. Some stages require items from the kingdom to unlock it.

Kingdom Arena - This adventure is a challenge for each player, where it can be an attacker or defender. Players must form two types of teams: the attacking team and the defense team to collect trophies to unlock rankings. The arena mode rewards crystals are used to random the Gacha Cookies and based on the player’s rankings.[3] Players will receive rank rewards at the end of the season. The higher rank achieved, the better the reward received. If the player attacks the opponent and wins, the player receives a trophy, but if the player loses, the player eventually loses a trophy. Whether the player is the winner or loser, the player will earn Arena Medals to use in the Medal Shop.

Today's Bounties - The adventure goal is to go through levels and collect resources, and the resources are to increase the cookies' skills. The first level is unlocked at first before players can collect the resources at the next level. The player should first clear the current level.

Tower of Sweet Chaos - The goal of this adventure is to receive rewards through attacking the towers. There are plenty of levels to choose from, from easy to difficult levels. To pass a level, players should follow the rules of that level. Therefore, the higher level gives greater rewards. The rewards are EXP Star Jelly, which can be used to level up characters, Coins, and Chaos Cake Pieces, which could be used to buy kingdom decorations and building upgrades, which enhance passive abilities with cookies.

Tropical Soda Islands - In this adventure players should collect Caramel Spyglass and Map Fragments to unlock areas. When successfully unlocked, players will receive one among two types of items: Islands or Treasure Chests, both of which will have cookie upgrade items.

Guild Battle - The goal of this adventure is to fight the Red Velvet Dragon boss by taking the help of guild members. The higher-level dragons that players can defeat give better rewards. And there is a guild random system in this mode, where items obtained by defeating dragon bosses are used to random Gacha Guild.

General Events - The activities will be held for a limited time on special occasions. Players must complete activities only during the allocated time. The reward depends on the nature of the event, the rewards will take various forms. Special rewards will be limited-edition items that can only be received during the event, such as the Sonic Cookie at Sonic's Green Hill activity.

In addition to the tapestry, the cookies were met with a statue of Pure Vanilla Cookie, allowing White Lily Cookie to regain some memories. Before reaching the entrance to the Vanilla Kingdom, the Licorice Cookies group tried to thwart the GingerBrave group, but of course, they were able to defeat the Licorice clan and stand in front of the entrance to the Vanilla Kingdom. The cookies got the bad news that the Vanilla Kingdom has been sealed since the Black Powder War by Pure Vanilla Cookie. The War of Black Powder is the War of Dark Enchantress Cookies against Ancient Cookies. The reason why the Vanilla Kingdom was sealed and there were many trials before entering the Kingdom was because Pure Vanilla Cookie had sealed the Dark Enchantress Cookie. To prevent the resurrection of Dark Enchantress Cookies, Cookies had to check the situation and safety before entering the Kingdom. A strange situation arises where some cake monsters are moving in Pomegranate Village, so the cookies must set out to check the cleanliness of the place before finding a way to enter the Vanilla Kingdom.[8]
