Crusoe (upcoming short film)

Crusoe is an upcoming independent adult computer-animated short film written and directed by Shane Acker. It will be Acker's fifth short feature film, and marked his first film in eleven years he directed since 2010's Plus Minus. It won the Best Sci-fi Short Film at the Berlin Short Film Festival.[1]

Premise

The science-fiction action comedy story follows the adventures of the titular character Crusoe, an astronaut stranded on an alien planet teeming with hostile life.[2]

Release

In mid-2021, the film had its premiere at the Berlin Short Film Festival, which he won the Best Sci-fi Short Film category. According to Shane Acker, he promises to organize his short film in more upcoming film festivals include the Gen Con Film Festival, Cinequest Film and VR Fest, Footcandle Film Festival, Show Me Shorts Film Festival, and the Sydney Underground Film Festival.[3] It will be potentially released in 2022.
