Dalas Review on a Experiummarkets video

Internet career

Daniel José Santomé Lemus[3] was born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife,[4] on 31 October 1993.[5] His main channel "Dalas Review" was created in 2012.[6] In 2017 he received 3 Gold Creator Awards for reaching 1.000.000 subscribers on his three main channels.[7] In 2021 Daniel created a Pornhub account,[8] currently, the account is not available.[9]

Developer career

Dalas has worked on some video game projects like: Fur Fun, an adventure and platform video game in 3D,[10] released via Steam[11] on February 10, 2017, and developed by a friend named Doky, using the program known as Unreal Engine 4.[12] The origin of the development began in September 2016 with a campaign of Kickstarter, under the title of "Kewpie - Jazzy", a video game strongly inspired by those of Rare. The project aimed to raise 92,000 euros, however only 650 would be raised. On December 8 of that year it would return under the new name "Fur Fun".[13]

Fur Fun after its official launch on Steam, received generally negative reviews. In January 2018, he announced that he would remove the game from Steam.[11] In April 2021 he unveiled a project to create transparency and greater connection between creators and fans, without censorship.[14] Daniel Santome during August 2020 was dedicated to looking for programmers to assist in the development of the new game called "Fur Fun 2".[15]

On August 23, 2021,[16] he released the beta version of the website Stardeos, a site similar to YouTube, for which he invested in for a total of 9 months. During the first four hours after the release, the website was down due to high traffic of more than 150,000 users per minute.[17] This is due to the fact that the capacity of the servers that Dalas hired could not support large amounts of connected users.[18] In October 2021, the Wrixy website went offline due to Dalas not being able to pay maintenance costs on time.[19]

Writing career

In 2016, he released "Fugitivos en el tiempo" (Fugitives in Time),[20] and in 2017 released "La tinta. Más allá de la magia".[21]

Personal life

He currently lives in Ireland with his girlfriend Lizy P, to save taxes.[22][23] Dalas has publicly shown his support for republican Donald Trump[24] and the right wing party Vox.[25] His sister Ariadna Cabrera Lemus, artistically known as Ariann Music, has more than 4 million subscribers on YouTube.[26]

Child sexual abuse allegations

At the beginning of 2018, a 15-year-old Argentine girl named Olivia shared on her Twitter account several screenshots, videos and directs from the supposed conversations she had with Dalas in 2016, the year in which she was about 13 years old. She points out that Dalas sent public photos of his Instagram in his pool without being completely naked, and also shows an identity document to confirm her age.[27] In 2021, Fabían Pasos, a YouTuber known as Mafian TV interviews this alleged victim from Dalas in a video titled "La Verdad Oscura de Dalas Review", Olivia, known on social networks as Olita de Mar, affirmed that Dalas supposedly contacted his father to intimidate him.[28]

On 30 November, 2018, Daniel Santome was tried[29] for the alleged crime of cyber harassment and abuse of minors, the accusations against him were perpetuated by 16-year-old adolescents and one of age 13.[30] On the other hand, the prosecution asked for 5 years in jail,[31][32] 11 of disqualification, and 9 years of estrangement.[33] According to the testimony of the minor of 13, she and Dalas began to communicate through Twitter in 2015. According to the minor's stories, Dalas sent her a photo of his torso and in addition asked her for a nude photo, what she refused.[30]

They did not meet in person until 26 January 2016, when she attended a signing of her book "Fugitivos en el Tiempo" held in Madrid, Spain. Both continued talking on WhatsApp and on 8 February 2016,[34] he accompanied her at the Atocha station where he supposedly kissed her and proposed to go to her hotel, but how she refused.[35] Later he went to the "Parque del Retiro" together with the minor, there is where allegedly Daniel Santome kissed and touched her while he said to her: «I would like the first time you do it to be with me»,[30] her stated that it specifically touched him her vaginal area and breasts.[34]

Dalas defended himself saying that the photo of the naked torso was a photo that had already been published before, however he admitted that they indeed met in person in 2016 during his book signing. Regarding the alleged sexual encounter that took place on February 8, 2016, I affirm that «it would not have occurred to me in my life to kiss or anything else with someone in a park». Regarding Atocha, he affirms that he was there for about 15 minutes to be able to sign a book that he did not manage to sign. He also adds that they never went to the "Parque del Retiro".[35]

On the other hand, Dalas flatly denied having had any sexual interest with her. He also affirmed that he spoke a lot with her because she assured of her from having various problems at school to suffering abuse from her mother.[36] Daniel Santome in one of the videos talking about the case, ensures that Miare's mother "is the main precursor of having advanced the news and rubbing shoulders with the pink press."[30] In December 2018, the Provincial Court of Madrid acquitted Daniel Santome due to lack of evidence,[37][38][39][40][41][42][43] since the testimony of the minor under 13 was quite «frivolous, imprecise, inconsistent and contradictory».[33]

Controversies

Dalas and Miare (2015-2021)

The relationship between Dalas and María Rubio Sánchez (Miare)[44] ended in November 2015, reason why Miare announced through a tweet the break in her relationship with Dalas on March 8, 2016, on other hand Naya Chimlova published a video where she explained why they had finished (currently that video is not published),[45] in addition Dalas put a tweet relating his version.[46] After the breakup, Miare was left with a greyhound named Argos,[47] which is why Dalas sued her to return her dog in June 2016,[48] after having had the trial, Dalas won the lawsuit[47] and Miare was forced to return the dog to Dalas.[49]

On other hand Miare upload a half-hour video explaining why he did not agree with the judicial sentence,[47] in addition shows some supposed WhatsApp conversations in which Dalas admitted to having mistreated the dog. An initiative was launched on the Change.org website aimed at repeating the trial between Dalas and Miare.[48] Later Miare supposedly lost Argos, which is why his father supposedly adopts another greyhound named Marlos.[49] Daniel on several occasions assured that that dog was actually Argos, reason why Dalas filed a complaint against Miare and her mother for misappropriation of the animal, however on February 3, 2021, the complaint was ultimately filed after an supposed expert assured that the dog was not Argos.[44]

After that, Dalas uploaded a 56 minute video titled "Tienen a mi perro secuestrado y estoy desesperado ya" in which, he assure that the expert had been convinced to made the report where they denied that they were the same dog. On the other hand, Miare published a tweet in which he talks about how Dalas supposedly called them "counterfeiters, liars, manipulators and sons of bitches", in addition her affirmed that he "had been changing history to his benefit at the rate of each judicial defeat."[44]

Así es Dalas Review (2017-2018)

In October 2017, the Spanish YouTuber Ismael Prego known as Wismichu uploaded a video titled "Así es Dalas Review", video that currently has around 20 million views.[50][51] In the video, Wismichu accuses Daniel Santome of having several complaints for gender violence, sexual abuse and animal abuse for allegedly having mistreated her dog named Argos,[52] besides insinuating that he fled to Ireland to escape the Spanish law.[21]

After the Wismichu video, Daniel Santome received from harassment to death threats,[53] in addition lost around 310,000 subscribers, going from having 5,700,000 to 5,390,000, this made Dalas Review hide his channel's subscriber count temporarily.[54] On the other hand, Dalas protected his Twitter account for a couple of days, however on October 6 of that year, it would be available again.[55] And his YouTube channel was subsequently deleted,[56][57] after his channel's deletion, the official Twitter accounts of Ibai Llanos, QuantumFracture, NovoxGamer, Haplo Schaffer or El Jueves published tweets rejoicing in the situation, however, his channel's deletion would not last long, since a few hours later Dala's channel was reinstated.[58]

According to some media commented, Wismichu's video came as a result of a video in which Dalas analyzed and gave his point of view of the Botellazo case,[55] in 2018 I would have an interview with the Los Replicantes, in which he talked about a video in which he would show court documents and evidence that would disprove the lies told against him.[5] On 18 May 2018, Santomé published "el video definitivo" (the definitive video), an hour and forty minutes video in which he denied, all one by one, the accusations made by Wismichu and his ex-girlfriend, Ingrid.[59]

Denounces ElJueves

In December 2019 Dalas uploaded a video talking about the complaint he filed against the magazine El Jueves, due to some vignettes in which he is branded as "pedophile, macho and retrograde".[60] In one of them he comes out masturbating with his penis in his hands, while recording with the mobile and says "child abuse? what's up, I love children".[61] In the video Dalas relates that apart from him, "my sister also came out, as if he were a pervert and was going to do things to my sister".[60]

All these vignettes in which Dalas appears were made by the illustrator Irene Márquez. On the other hand, Dalas appears in a special of the magazine El Jueves known under the name of "Los Gilipollas de 2018".[62] The director of El Jueves named Guillermo Martinez-Vela affirmed to the Spanish magazine 20 minutes that "it is a complaint that is nonsense," he also defended himself using the "animus iocandi", a Latin term that means "joke mood".[60]

Conflicts against Wismichu (2018-2021)

In 2018, Santomé sued Prego for the insults and slander crime perpetuated in the video "Así es Dalas Review", claiming a penalty of nine months in jail, and a 15,000 euros fine, in addition to economic compensation equivalent to 122,910 euros.[63][50] At the end of 2019 Santomé uploaded to his main channel a video titled "Denuncié a Wismichu" (I Sued Wismichu), video in which he talks about the lawsuit filed a year earlier against Prego for the video that "damaged his career". In addition to that, in the video itself, Daniel Santome mentions everything that happened after the video of "Así es Dalas Review".[53] In 2021, the 25th criminal court of Barcelona acquitted Ismael Prego of the accusations of slander and insults perpetuated by Daniel Santome.[64][65][66][67][68][69]

Later on 11 February 2021, Dalas uploaded a video titled "Wismichu: Condenado y con Antecedentes Penales" (Wismichu Convicted and with a Criminal Record), in the video, Dalas shows Ismael's criminal record,[70] to which he had access when you denounced Wismichu. According to account Dalas Review, Wismichu was sentenced to 6 months in prison for cutting the head of a 21-year-old man with a glass bottle.[71] Besides adding that he has at his disposal some supposed audios of Ingrid leaked by a friend of his, that would leave Ismael at the height of an abuser.[70] On the other hand, Dalas accused Ismael of committing acts of Pedophilia in Chatroulette because Wismichu was looking for girls, usually teenagers, and then asking them to get naked while recording the computer screen,[72] to then publish them on his website without censorship.[70]

When Ismael Prego was denounced for alleged crime of child pornography, Dalas posted a tweet saying the following: «I want to clarify that this should not be turned into a "Dalas vs Wismichu". I don't want anyone to matter to me with this. Support the eleven and twelve-year-old victims that the Wismichu offender filmed in Chatroulette and have him measured».[73]
