Daniel Edelman (soccer)

Daniel Edelman (born April 28, 2003) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a midfielder.

Not to be confused with Daniel Edelman.

Career

Early career

Edelman, raised in Warren Township, New Jersey, played prep soccer at Watchung Hills Regional High School.[1]

He also played youth soccer for Players Development Academy (PDA) from 2015 to 2020 before joining Red Bull Academy in January 2020.

New York Red Bull II

During the 2020 USL Championship season Edelman appeared for New York Red Bulls II. He made his debut as a 86th-minute substitute during a 1–0 loss to Hartford Athletic on July 17, 2020.[2] On July 22, 2020 he scored his first goal as a professional in a 5-1 victory over Philadelphia Union II. He ended his first season with the club appearing in 5 matches and scoring one goal.

On March 24, 2021, it was announced that Edelman had signed his first professional contract with New York Red Bull II. [3]

Following the 2021 season, Edelman's contract with New York expired.[4]
