Dave Unwin
Dave Unwin is a British television animator, director and writer. He is best known as the director of the Horrid Henry TV series, the Father Christmas animated TV movie and the 1995 The Wind in the Willows film.
Career
Unwin began in animation in 1970, employed as a trainee assistant animator at Halas and Batchelors after college. He then spent the next 20 years, animating, designing and laying out, and occasionally directing, on a mix of TV ads and longer-form entertainment projects. In 1991, John Coates asked him to direct ‘Father Christmas’ as a follow up to another Christmas themed animated film 'The Snowman which Coates also produced.[1]
