Deborah-Mae Lovell

Dame Deborah Mae Lovell, DCN, is an Antiguan and Barbudan who served as Ambassador to the US (presenting her credentials August 8, 2005)[1] and the OAS. When she became a Dame, the female equivalent of a “Sir”, on August 4, 2011, she was the only knighthood handed out that year and one of a very small number of Antiguan and Barbudan women to receive such an honor. She received the Dame Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of the Nation (DCN) for services as a civil servant and career diplomat.”[2]
