Dick's Kitchen

Dick's Kitchen is a "paleo-friendly" restaurant with multiple locations in Portland, Oregon.[1] The high-vegetable, low-grain[2] menu offers gluten-free, paleo, and vegan options,[3] including burgers, sandwiches and desserts.[4][5]

Richard Satnick opened the first restaurant on Southeast Belmont in the Sunnyside neighborhood in August 2010.[1] The interior is decorated with portraits of notable men named Richard, including Dick Van Dyke, Richard Burton, and Richard Nixon.[4][6] Satnick opened a second restaurant in Northwest Portland by late 2012.[7][8] Meat was sourced from Carmen Ranch in Wallowa, Oregon, as of 2014.[9] Drinks at the northwest location included the Dick's-A-Rita and Dick's Elixir.[10]

The "sister-restaurant" Dick's Primal Burger opened in southeast Portland's Woodstock neighborhood in 2015, offering counter service.[11][12]

Reception

In 2017, Dick's won in the Best Paleo Options category in Willamette Week's annual readers' poll.[13] The restaurant won second place in the same category in 2020.[14]
