Eila Mell

Eila Mell is an American author and fashion journalist. Mell is mainly known for covering and writing about fashion and entertainment.

Career

Mell grew up in Queens, New York City.[1][2] She started out as an actress but slowly transitioned into writing. Mell published her first book titled Casting Might-Have-Beens in 2005.[3][4] Her second book, Mickey Rooney As Archie Bunker was released in 2008.[5]

Mell released her third book in 2011.[4] The book was titled New York Fashion Week and focused on the fashion industry from the years 1993-2009, a period of time known in fashion as the Bryant Park Years.[6][7][8][9][10]

Her next work, titled Project Runway: The Show That Changed Fashion which she co-authored with Heidi Klum, was published in July 2012.[11][12][13][14] Other books on fashion written by Mell include How to Win at Shopping (2015) and The Art of Fashion (2017).[15][16]
