Elaine Trevino

Elaine Trevino is an American government official who is the nominee to serve as chief agricultural negotiator in the Office of the United States Trade Representative.

Early life and education

Trevino was born and raised in the Central Valley region of California. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from the University of California, Berkeley.[1]

Career

Trevino began her career as an executive at Wells Fargo in Fresno, California. She then served in the Merced County Economic Development Division. She joined the California Department of Food and Agriculture in 2001 as assistant secretary, serving until 2003. She served as deputy secretary in 2003 and 2004. Trevino later worked as the president of California Strategic Solutions, a consulting firm. She joined the Almond Alliance of California as president in 2018.[2][3]
