Elis Mraz

Eliška Mrázová (born 6 August 1994), known professionally as Elis Mraz, is a Czech singer and composer.

Life

She is the winner of the Czech Nightingale Mattoni 2014 poll in the Discovery of the Year category. In the same year, she reached the semifinals of the Voice of Czechoslovakia. She released her debut album called Shubidu in 2013.

During her singing career, she has had 2nd place at the Golden Lute International Competition and 3rd place in the English-American music charts BEAT 100, thanks to the song Letter to Mom inspired by a real letter from a concentration camp. Mraz was on the Czech expert jury of the Eurovision Song Contest.

In the years 2016 - 2019, she was involved in composing original songs. Thanks to cooperation with Nemoros (Kobalt Publishing), he was given the opportunity to collaborate with authors such as Andrew Murray, Kenneth Karlin or Don Mescall.

Since 2015, she has been filming the show Ty Brďo! for Czech Television, channel Déčko.

In 2020, she participated in the national round of the Eurovision Song Contest with her song Wanna Be Like and finished in second place.[1] She will participate in the national final for the 2022 contest, which will take place on the 16th of December, with her song Imma Be.

Personal life

Her brother is Dali Mraz, real name Dalibor Mráz, virtuoso drummer and composer.
