Emmy Morgan

Emmy Morgan (born May 1, 1976) is a transwoman American actress, producer, and writer. She is best known for writing The Ice Princess and The Family Portraits.[1]

Early life

Morgan was raised by her single mother in Feeding Hills, Massachusetts along with her half-brother. She started directing and acting with her childhood friends while playing pretend as a kid. It wasn't till she was an adult did she realized she could get paid for playing pretend.[2]

She didn't begin her transition until December 2014 She states she “officially came out on August 1, 2015.” She legally changed her name to Emily Morgan in honor of her aunt in December 2015 with Emmy Morgan as her stage name.[3]

Work

Morgan self-published her books The Ice Princess and The Family Portraits through iUniverse.

She started background work in 2010 in movies such as Here Comes The Boom and Ted and fell in love with movie making. So much so one of her best friends Brandon Deyette asked her to be the Consulting Producer on Kitty.[4]

While pursuing her film writing career, she began writing for Forever And A Day (soap opera).[5] As well as co-hosting The Spilled Tea with her childhood friend Joe Willis.[6]
