Flickswitch is a telecommunications provider that provides carrier services to cellular IoT devices and service providers in Africa. The company was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in Cape Town with sales offices and Service Operation Centre's in Kenya, Namibia, South Africa and the Netherlands. Flickswitch provides SIM card data management, cellular connectivity, managed private APN services, and IoT data  roaming.

History

In May 2016, Flickswitch launched its SIM management service "SIMcontrol" in Kenya through the telecom provider Airtel.[1][2][3] During February 2017, Mobile Telecommunications Limited Namibia reached an Agreement with Flickswitch to develop and launch a business SIM management service in Namibia.[4]

In September 2019, the company partnered with BICS, an African mobile network service provider on the development of Internet of Things(IoT) in Africa.[5][6] Flickswitch entered in a partnership with Vodacom Tanzania in September 2019 to launch a its sim management system in Tanzania.[7][8][9][10]
