Flying Fantasy World
Flying Fantasy World (simplified Chinese: 飞·奇幻世界; traditional Chinese: 飛·奇幻世界), also known as Fantasy World,[4] was a Chengdu-based monthly Chinese fantasy magazine founded in December 2003,[5] formerly known as Science Fiction World Youth Edition (科幻世界少年版).[6] The magazine mainly published original fantasy works in China,[7] and is one of the earliest professional fantasy journals in Mainland China.[8]

Flying Fantasy World belonged to the Science Fiction World Magazine Agency (科幻世界杂志社)[9] and was sponsored by the Sichuan Science and Technology Association (四川省科学技术协会).[10]
In June 2013, Flying Fantasy World ceased publication.[11] Deputy editor-in-chief of the magazine said that the fundamental reason for the suspension of Flying Fantasy World was the severe decline in the magazine's market sales.[12]
Suspension of Publication
On May 21, 2013, the official website of Science Fiction World announced the suspension of publication of Flying Fantasy World.[13] The magazine was published until the 6th issue of 2013, and then ceased publication. During the period of its existence, Flying Fantasy World published a total of 117 issues (including supplements).[14]
