Controversy

On June 1, 2021, Fosshost announced a partnership with IRC Network, Freenode;[3][4] however later rescinded its partnership, blaming it on a series of internal mistakes.[5] The announcement caused a significant outcry from the FOSS community [6]

Notable projects

On June 23, 2021, Fosshost was featured in ZDnet as a supporter of the CentOS replacement, Rocky Linux.[7][8]

Other projects Fosshost support include the Debian Project,[9] OpenMandriva,[10] QEMU [11] and Garuda Linux.[12]

It has previously hosted ActivityPub Conference 2020.[13]

AArch64

Fosshost runs an AArch64 platform and has received hardware donated by Ampere Computing.

Ecosystem

The open source labs initiative at Oregon State University provide hardware to the project.[14]

It is a contributing member of the Software in the Public Interest.[15]
