Frances Myers (artist)

Frances Julia Myers (16 April 1936 – 17 December 2014) was an American printmaker.

Myers was born on April 16, 1936 in Racine, Wisconsin.[1] [2] She studied at the University of Wisconsin–Madison whre she earned a BS and an MFA.[3] She taught at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for 25 years.[4] Myers died on December 17, 2014 in Madison, Wisconsin.[1]

In 2016 the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art presented a posthumous retrospective of her work.[4][5] Her work is included in the collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum,[6] the Davidson Art Center,[7] and the Brooklyn Museum.[8]
