The Friedhelm Loh Group grew out of a business founded by Rudolf Loh in 1961 after inventing the "first mass-produced enclosures for electrical control systems".[1]
The proprietor-run Friedhelm Loh Group employed 11,600 people and generated revenues of €2.6 billion in 2019.[2] The major companies in the Group's portfolio are Rittal, EPLAN, Cideon, LKH, Stahlo, and German Edge Cloud.[3] Rittal is its most important subsidiary, and supplies enclosures, climate-control technology, power distribution gear, IT infrastructure and automation systems.[1]
