Summary
The story of the show revolves around Genda, who is an ardent devotee of Agrasen Maharaj and belongs to a low-income family. She is married into a business family and faces a huge loss in their business after marriage. Meanwhile, Genda’s husband also suffers from epilepsy.
Plot
Genda is the purest devotee of Maharaja Agrasen is a calm and composed girl. Varun Agrawal, is a free-spirited, care-free guy who always plays video games also suffers from epilepsy. Kundan Agarwal who believes in old tradition and cares for the honour and respect of the Agarwal family in the society. Kundan gets impressed by her simplicity and nature. He sends Varun's marriage proposal to Genda's family. With many circumstances, Genda and Varun get married.
Varun's sister-in-law Nisha gets jealous of the attention given to Genda and plots against her. This leads to Varun, Genda, Kundan and Anuradha's fasting. The society members of Agrawal society gets jealous of Kundan Agarwal's family and plots against them in money matters. To save her family's honour, Genda sells the family's ancestral jewelry 'Chandrahaar' without anyone's consent.
On some occasion, the society berates Genda, Kundan and the Agarwal family for selling the ancestral and honoured 'Chandrahaar'. The society and Agarwal family berates Genda for her actions. Genda believed that her actions were from one of the discipline from Maharaj Agrasen's teachings and hence stops believing in Maharaj Agrasen. Maharaj Agrasen feels disheartened because of Genda's changed behaviour and enters the Agarwal family disguised as Maharaj to change the society for good and re-establish the virtue of Agrawal society and earn Genda's trust and faith.
On his entry, he challenges the poor customs and prove their actual meaning. When a Pandit tries to fraud the Agarwal family and humiliate Genda, Maharaj becomes her shield and protects her pride and self-esteem and challenges the Pandit on religious rituals and customs. Kundan, Anuradha, Varun, Genda and Manish start believing in Maharaj's thoughts, theories and beliefs. Nisha continues to create misunderstandings against Genda.
On her birthday, Varun gifts a saree to Genda bit Nisha switches with a short dress demolishing Genda's image infront of the Agarwal family. Maharaj sides Genda and explains the real meaning of usefulness of clothes. On the occasion of Navratri, Varun accepts an immediate order which he fails to complete due to his ill health and gets completed by Genda but misunderstands her efforts. With Maharaj Ji's help, Varun manages to improve his relation with Genda on Garba Night. Genda earns Anuradha's confidence by helping her in tough times also supporting her against Kundan's wrong allegations. With Genda's boosted confidance and morale, Maharaj Ji leaves the Agarwal house.
Enters Siddhant Sinha an arrogant business tycoon who starts a rivalry with Genda. He wants to buy the jewelry shop for which the Agarwal family opposes. He then tries to own the shop with legal terms but Genda races against time and wins the shop back. Kundan to free the loan form the shop, mortgages the Agarwal Mansion. Siddhant to usurp the shop, gets Varun injured. Manish learns about this and informs the family to sell the shop. Siddhant buys the shop from Kundan with less estimated prices and blames Genda. Genda challenges Siddhant to earn the shop with Siddhant agreeing with certain terms and conditions. Kundan blames Genda for the losses and Varun's accident and asks him to choose between the two. Varun chooses Genda over Kundan and disheartens the latter.
