Guilherme de Paula Lucrécio

Guilherme de Paula Lucrécio (born 9 November 1986), also known as Guilherme is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Malaysia Super League side Johor Darul Ta'zim. Born in Brazil, he represents the Malaysia national team.[2] Malaysian football fans gave De Paula the nickname 'Zulhelmi' after he gained Malaysian citizenship as it sounds similar to his first name 'Guilherme'.[3]

In this Portuguese name, the first or maternal family name is de Paula and the second or paternal family name is Lucrécio.

He was considered unworthy during the early part of the league before proving himself as the perfect choice by scoring many important goals. He played once for Malaysia XI against Tottenham Hotspur F.C. In December 2019, De Paula has agreed to join Perak FC for the 2020 season. On 3 June 2021, he won his first cap for Malaysia in a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification match against the United Arab Emirates.
