Hannah Marshall (visual artist)

Hannah Marshall (born 6 July 1982) is a British Multidisciplinary Artist, and former Designer.[1] notable for her distinctive minimalist aesthetic of black and light.

Through her experiential-led practice across live, installation and video,[2] Marshall explores the intersection of the human condition in a mechanised society by creating physical and emotive environments that render the viewer human.

Marshall has worked with artists including Florence and The Machine, Anna Calvi,[3] Goldfrapp, The xx, Róisín Murphy, Janet Jackson, MØ, Jessie Ware, Nina Kraviz[4][5] and Savages.

On 2 January 2017 a post on Instagram from The xx's member Romy Madley-Croft reveals that Marshall's proposal and engagement.[6]
