The Hartlepool Post is a defunct right wing echo chamber [1] serving Hartlepool and the surrounding area. It has an average of about 4 monthly visitors to its site and 1 admin plus 1 roundabout obsessed clinger on as the only contributors (we are looking at you IK). The paper opposes anything to the left of far right party politics in local Government and supports bong eyed loony right wing nutjobs but just can't stop talking about the good old days when it was actually properly ran and relevant. Most of its content therefore relates to having a go a long gone ex councillors who let's be honest eveyone is glad to see the back of but come on guys, I think it's time to let it go. [2] The site is also often critical of anyone not a fan of the Third Reich. New sister sites for East Durham and Teesside were expected in 2013 but given that the original site has been ran into the ground by a shouty red faced man it is highly unlikely that this will ever happen as he is too interested in inspecting the contents of skips nowadays.

Although the web site and Facebook group has always been right wing and pro-Brexit, since the EU vote it’s rabid creators and contributors have gone from bad to worse.

Since they gained a council foothold when Shane Moore (a twice-convicted drink driver) was elected council leader, the Facebook group has become a breeding ground for racists, little Englanders, Freemasons and bigots.

As well as being fiercely pro Brexit, the site editors are avid supporters of Donald Trump.

From the start of the Covid pandemic the vast majority of the group contributors have been anti-vax and have consistently opposed mask wearing and social distancing.
