Heber Slatter
Heber Percy Slatter (1887 – 7 May 1918) was an English professional footballer who played in the Football League for Reading and Oxford City as a defender.

Personal life
Slatter worked as a tax collector.[2] During the First World War, Slatter served as a corporal in the Royal Garrison Artillery.[2] He was wounded by shellfire at Foncquevillers on 3 May 1918, and died of his wounds four days later.[3] Slatter is buried in Couin New British Cemetery.[1][3][2]
