Heino Schmidt

Heino Schmidt (born 10 September 1982), is a South African actor, model and television presenter. He is best known for the roles in the films Die Laaste Tango, Assignment and 7de Laan.

Personal life

Schmitt was born on 10 September 1982 in Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Career

In 2008, he made television debut with the popular South African SABC2 soap opera 7de Laan. In the serial, he played the supportive role "Altus de Bruyn".[1] In the same year, he appeared in the Tropika Island of Treasure reality competition television series. He continued to play the role "de Bruyn" for 11 consecutive years until resigned in 2015.[2][3] Then in 2013, he made the film debut with Die Laaste Tango and played the role "Sers. Dave Malan". After the blockbuster success of the film, he made his second film in 2015 with Assignment and played the role "Vladimir".[4]

Apart from acting, he is also working as a field presenter for SABC2 Afrikaans magazine show "Pasella".[5] He made his Pasella appearance in his first insert on Friday 11 March on SABC2 at 19:30.[6] Before that, he joined the Tswelopele Productions magazine.[7]
